As a member of the Marc Pro – Strava Cycling Team, I can honestly say that we are lucky to have the support of some of the top names in cycling. Oakley has been generous enough to supply each member of the team with Jawbone custom sunglasses, identical to these:
At first glance, I thought that the Jawbones looked slightly bulky or obtrusive. I assumed that the bottom rim would obstruct my field of vision. How wrong I was about that. Not only could I see clearly out of them at any angle, but they are so lightweight that I could hardly tell I was wearing them. As an added bonus, they obviously look good and match our team kit perfectly.
This is where the Oakley Jawbones shine. The consumer is given the option to choose from a variety of lenses for virtually any light condition. I use the Polarized Black Iridium lenses for sunny conditions, and the G30 lenses for variable/cloudy conditions and mountain biking. In the past, I wasn’t able to wear sunglasses when mountain biking at all, because they distorted the shadows on the trails and prevented me from seeing obstacles clearly.
Replacing lenses is simple. Pop open the nose piece, pivot the lower rim of the glasses down, and remove the old lenses. Insert new lenses, pivot the lower rim back in position, and close the nose piece.
In my opinion, these are the best sunglasses that money can buy. They fit like a glove, look good, and perform better than any other pair of performance sunglasses out there. You can find some for yourself at Oakley’s web site.
