My relationship with Wild cherries started long before I began racing for Marc Pro – Strava. My friends and I used to eat here in between shred sessions at many of the Sierra Nevada resorts. At least twice a week we would ride at a one of the resorts then head to Cherries to get some caffeine and fuel, which would lead straight into some night riding just down the road. My expectations for the café experience have been set rather high, as I have worked at seven different establishments (including the world’s largest) since college.
Now that I have an affiliation with Wild Cherries every time I am within range I make sure to stop at Cherries with an empty stomach to indulge in their many tasty food options, and of course awesome coffee, espresso, or tea! In a time when national brands are located on every corner it is nice to have a place like Cherries to call your café. This is a place where you can kick back eat, drink, and hang out. The coffee here is amazing and the fact that every barista has knowledge and love for coffee is great. My favorite beverage is any of their African region roasts (black, no room). Cherries is however much more than coffee, espresso & tea. They have a wide assortment of pastries, pies, baked goods, and other treats to satisfy any sweet tooth, along with sandwiches, wraps, and salads. This past weekend I was on the road to Reno for mother’s day, stopped in and had the new Fajita wrap, pretty tasty! I always enjoy my beverage, meals, and snacks at Cherries it is great to have them as part of our team, as a sponsor which contributes to the success of the MarcPro-Strava cycling team. P.S. Usually when I get done at Cherries I climb to the top of Mt. Rose then ride down blind folded, with no hands.
