Five members of the H24cycling team were the honored guests this afternoon at Kingsbury Elementary School in Redlands, CA. The riders were invited to speak to the kids about cycling, nutrition, and the importance of living a healthy and active lifestyle.
Their visit came the day before the start of the Redlands Cycling Classic, and if the cheers and questions of the students were any indication, it’s clear the team inspired a lot of new fans!
Riders spoke about their on the bike and off the bike nutrition, showed off their top of the line race machines, and talked about the importance of recovery during a stage race. Kids practiced handing up bottles to the moving riders, learned about the aerodynamic helmets we race in, and got to closely examine our bikes. It was a great event for all involved. Thanks for having us, Kingsbury Elementary!
