Coming back at you with a quick report from the Dominican Republic. After an aggressive day of racing that saw many members of the team represented off the front in breakaways, the race came together in the finale and Quinten launched early in a bid for glory. He was passed by 3 riders right on the line, but held on to claim 4th place. Gavin Murray, who was back in the race after crashing hard and limping across the line yesterday, sprinted in for 6th. This is especially impressive given his hospital visit and 5 shiny new stitches!
Unfortunately Sam Boardman, who had been riding so well the last few days, crashed hard in the first kilometer of the stage. A solid bump on the head (thank goodness for our Rudy Project helmets!) took him out of the race. He’s in good spirits and enjoying watching the race and practicing his Spanish with the locals.
