Raised first in Syracuse, New York and later Lincoln, Nebraska, my early athletic endeavors included junior alpine ski racing, peewee football and hockey, high school soccer and cross country running, and commuting by bike 12 miles a day to middle school. Plus, a passion for classical clarinet and jazz saxophone might count as athletic, at least in the lung capacity department. After floundering spectacularly in my late teens and early twenties, I finally discovered my unquenchable hunger for road cycling in 2015 at the age of 24. With the help of a few local teammates/mentors, I skyrocketed through the ranks of regional Midwest racing. Despite major injuries in 2016 and 2017, in 2018 I won the Collegiate Club Road Omnium National Championship, Tulsa Tough River Parks Crit amateur cat 1/2, and the Intelligentsia Cup Tour of Lake Ellyn pro/1/2. After guest riding for Marc Pro at BC Superweek and the Vuelta a Guatemala, I officially joined the team and moved to Sacramento. Besides cycling, I am still an avid alpine skier and saxophonist, as well as a bartender and restaurant server. I am semi-fluent in Spanish. I plan to graduate from University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2019 with a B.A. in history and the goal of eventually working for the state department, becoming a teacher, or entering graduate school. But for now, my life revolves around training and racing!
